Sany Hails Performance of 10MW Turbines

2025-04-01 11:28

Wedoany.com Report-Apr 1, Sany Renewable Energy has recently achieved a notable milestone with its 10MW onshore wind turbines at the Huadian Ning'an Fengshuishan wind farm in China. This wind farm, with a total installed capacity of 200MW, is the first in the country to use such turbines on a large scale, marking a significant step forward in renewable energy development.

The wind farm operates 20 Sany 10MW turbines, each featuring a 230-meter rotor diameter. This large rotor size is designed to capture more wind and generate substantial energy. A spokesperson highlighted the milestone of 60 consecutive days of "flawless operation," emphasizing the reliability and efficiency of the turbines. It is unclear whether "2.2m kWh" was intended to mean 2.2 million kWh, as this would make more sense in the context of energy production.

Additionally, the wind farm represents the first Sany project to deploy self-developed hybrid towers, which are likely engineered to enhance performance or efficiency. The company has implemented a comprehensive quality management system for these hybrid towers, incorporating high-precision horizontal mould-casting and standardized manufacturing processes. This robust system ensures that the towers meet high standards, crucial for their complex design.

Sany achieved international certification for its 140-meter hybrid towers in 2024, obtaining the TÜV Nord certification in Germany. This certification adds credibility to the quality and safety of Sany's products. Furthermore, since February 2023, Sany has created China’s first 10MW onshore wind turbine prototype. This prototype has undergone extensive grid-connected operational validation over 600 days, complemented by more than 1000 performance tests, ensuring reliability and efficiency across various conditions.

In summary, Sany Renewable Energy is leading advancements in large-scale wind turbine development, with a focus on reliability, quality, and efficiency. These efforts align with China's goals of increasing renewable energy production and reducing carbon emissions, showcasing Sany's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
