Wedoany.com Report-Mar 31, Canada One Mining Corporation has recently expanded its Copper Dome project in Princeton, British Columbia (BC), Canada. The company has acquired an additional 1,728 hectares (ha) of land, increasing its total land position at the project to 7,997 ha. This expansion is aimed at further exploring the Boundary Zone, located approximately 1.5 kilometers south of the Copper Mountain Mine. The new land parcel is contiguous with the existing project and will be assessed for potential porphyry copper and molybdenum mineralization.
The expansion covers an area with two historically identified MMI anomalies.
The company is currently awaiting the issuance of its drill permit, which is expected to be granted shortly. The newly acquired land includes two historically significant mobile metal ion (MMI) anomalies. The first is a copper-silver anomaly that spans approximately 2.9 kilometers in length and 1.3 to 1.9 kilometers in width. The second is a molybdenum anomaly that is around 2.1 kilometers long and spans between 400 and 900 meters in width. These anomalies are located within the lower section of the Quesnel Trough, a well-known mining area that hosts several established copper, silver, gold, and platinum mines.
The Copper Dome Project has a rich exploration history. It was previously covered with extensive airborne magnetic surveys, 51 kilometers of induced polarization (IP) surveys, and a combination of airborne magnetic and electromagnetic (EM) surveys over half of the project area. Additionally, the company has collected data from 2,253 soil samples and 378 rock samples, as well as over 8.9 kilometers of diamond drilling and more than 1 kilometer of trenching. These activities have contributed significantly to the understanding of the project's mineralization potential.
This expansion highlights Canada One Mining's commitment to advancing its exploration efforts and further solidifying its position in the competitive porphyry copper and molybdenum mining sector. The company's focus on the Boundary Zone and its potential to enhance the project's economic viability make it a key player in the region.
