Wedoany.com Report-Oct 09, Vestas is pleased to announce a significant order as part of its third quarter order book, marking another milestone in its global renewable energy portfolio. In this project, Vestas will supply wind turbines to Altano Energy for the Dama de Baza wind farm, located in Spain.
The order consists of nine V163-4.5 MW wind turbines, with a total capacity of 41 MW. This wind turbine variant, part of Vestas’ advanced technology offering, is designed to optimise energy production and efficiency. As part of the agreement, Vestas and Altano Energy have committed to a 15-year AOM 5000 service contract, which guarantees comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) support for the turbines, ensuring high reliability and long-term performance.
The wind turbines are scheduled to be delivered in the third quarter of 2025, with commissioning expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025, contributing to Spain’s ongoing transition to cleaner energy sources and lower carbon emissions.
