Wedoany.com Report-Dec 10,Ørsted has selected Atlas Services Group Energy, UTM Consultants, Boston Energy, and Connected Wind Services Danmark for above-water wind turbine services on its operational offshore wind farms in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.
The companies signed five-year framework agreements with Ørsted at the end of November with the contract period set to start running on 1 January 2025. Valued at over EUR 26 million in total, the agreements cover three types of services which the developer put out to tender in separate lots with Atlas Services Group Energy being selected for all three work scopes.
For technical support services for end-of-warranty (EOW) wind turbines, Atlas Services, UTM Consultants and Boston Energy will deliver personnel for the campaigns that entail walk-downs and technical checkpoints in turbines.
Atlas Services has also been contracted for specialised services including endoscope inspections and up-tower repairs and inspections. On the former, the company is the sole contractor while Connected Wind Services Danmark has been also contracted for the up-tower work.
Under the contracts, the four service providers will be performing the work at Ørsted’s offshore wind farms in Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands both on an annual basis and on demand.
In Denmark and Germany, Ørsted has five offshore wind farms in each country.
In Denmark, these include the 400 MW Anholt, the 160 MW Horns Rev 1 and the 209 MW Horns Rev 2, the 166 MW Nysted offshore wind farm, as well as the two-turbine project Avedøre at the Avedøre Power Station.
Ørsted’s German offshore wind farms are the 312 MW Borkum Riffgrund 1 and 450 MW Borkum Riffgrund 2, the 582 MW Gode Wind 1&2, and their third phases the 253 MW Gode Wind 3 and the 913 MW Borkum Riffgrund 3. The latter two will be fully commissioned in 2024 and 2026, respectively.
In the Netherlands, the company co-owns and operates the 752 MW Borssele 1&2 offshore wind farm.
