Adani Energy’s Transmission Network up 30% in Q4 FY 2025

2025-04-11 16:32

Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 11, Adani Energy Solutions has expanded its transmission network by 30%, reaching 26,696 circuit kilometers (ckm) in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025. The growth, reported from the company’s headquarters in Ahmedabad, India, reflects its focus on enhancing energy infrastructure. A company statement noted: “New order wins led to an increase in the transmission network, highlighting strong bidding capabilities and robust underlying opportunity.”

During the quarter, Adani Energy added 140 ckm to its network while maintaining a system availability of 99.7%, ensuring reliable power distribution. The company secured two new transmission projects: Navinal (Mundra) Phase I Part-B 1, valued at INR 2,800 crore, and Mahan Transmission, valued at INR 2,200 crore. These additions strengthen India’s energy grid and support growing electricity demand.

The under-construction transmission order book grew significantly, reaching INR 59,936 crore, a 3.5-fold increase from the year’s start. This expansion stems from active participation in competitive bidding, positioning Adani Energy as a key player in India’s energy sector. Ongoing projects, such as Khavda Phase II Part-A and KPS-1, have completed stringing work. Full commissioning is expected by the end of April 2025, pending final tasks.

In Mumbai, renewable energy supplied through Adani’s network accounted for 36% of the total power mix as of March 31, 2025. The company aims to increase this to 60% by fiscal year 2027, aligning with India’s clean energy goals. A Mumbai-based official stated: “Our efforts focus on delivering sustainable power to meet the city’s needs while advancing renewable integration.”

The company’s achievements highlight its commitment to reliable and sustainable energy solutions. By expanding transmission capacity, Adani Energy supports industries and households without altering consumption patterns. The focus remains on building infrastructure to distribute power efficiently, distinct from import or export activities.

Adani Energy’s progress in Q4 reflects careful planning and execution. The Navinal and Mahan projects, alongside others under construction, will enhance connectivity across regions. Local communities near project sites, such as Mundra, anticipate improved power access. A regional manager remarked: “These developments bring stable electricity closer to homes and businesses.”

The company’s high system availability underscores its operational strength, ensuring minimal disruptions. As India’s energy needs grow, Adani Energy’s expanded network and renewable energy focus contribute to a balanced power ecosystem. With projects nearing completion and new orders secured, the company is well-positioned to support long-term energy reliability.
