Wedoany.com Report-Mar 14, Orsted is to start construction soon on the second phase of the combined 112MW Bahren West onshore wind project in Brandenburg, Germany.
The 50.4MW Bahren West 1 is now operational and construction work on the 61.6MW Bahren West 2 is expected to commence next month.
Bahren West 1 comprises nine Vestas V150 wind turbines, each with an output of 5.6MW each.
Bahren West 2 will consist of 11 Vestas V150 wind turbines, each with an output of 5.6MW.
Delivery of the turbines is planned to begin in Q4 2026, with commissioning scheduled for Q2 2027.
The turbine order with Vestas includes a 20-year service agreement.

In addition to the Bahren West wind farms, Orsted also expects to commission its 16.8MW onshore wind farm, St. Wendel, later this year.
The Bahren West onshore wind farms are located on the German-Polish border in the municipality of Neise-Malxetal, Brandenburg.
Globally, Orsted has an installed onshore wind power capacity of approximately 3.8GW.
