Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 16, EcoFlow, a U.S.-based company, has introduced its Stream series, a second-generation balcony solar solution, succeeding the PowerStream line. Launched in Germany with broader European availability and planned expansion to the United Kingdom, the series integrates advanced battery systems and networking capabilities for household energy distribution. Pre-sale began with general availability starting May 15, 2025.
The Stream series emphasizes battery integration, offering AI-powered coordination among multiple units and compatibility with third-party equipment. Batteries can be AC-connected in various home locations, such as kitchens or living rooms, while syncing with the balcony solar system. The series includes four models: Stream AC Pro, Stream Ultra X, Stream Ultra, and Stream Pro.
The Stream AC Pro (1.92 kWh) supports existing inverters with an 800W AC input, weighing 21.5 kg. The Stream Pro (1.92 kWh) provides 2,300W PV input with three 500W MPPT channels, weighing 22.8 kg. The Stream Ultra (1.92 kWh) features a 2,800W dual-mode PV input with four 500W MPPT channels, weighing 23.1 kg. The Stream Ultra X (3.84 kWh), with doubled capacity and similar input, will be available after June 2025. All models use LFP batteries, retaining 70% capacity after 6,000 cycles, and feature IP65 water resistance, operation at -20°C, and quiet 30dB performance with graphene-based cooling.
Compared to the PowerStream, the Stream series enhances inverter compatibility and introduces a hybrid inverter-battery design. It supports up to 2,300W AC output in dual-mode, a significant increase from the previous 800W, and allows direct battery-to-grid connection via standard outlets without additional wiring. AI-driven networking, paired with a smart meter, enables efficient energy exchange with the grid.
Pricing for the Stream Ultra is €1,099 ($1,250), or €999 until May 31, 2025, with the Stream Pro at €999 and Stream AC Pro at €799, excluding VAT for transparent pricing. An EcoFlow representative noted that the Stream Ultra X pricing remains undisclosed, with release planned post-June 2025.
The Stream series advances home solar energy solutions, offering flexible, high-efficiency options for European consumers seeking sustainable energy management.
