Wedoany.com Report-Feb 7, Iberdrola has sold the 350MW Baixo Iguacu hydroelectric plant in Brazil to French electricity company EDF.
Through its Brazilian subsidiary, Neoenergia, Iberdrola controlled 70% of the Baixo Iguacu asset, located in Parana.
The deal “reinforces Iberdrola's asset rotation strategy focused on portfolio optimisation with value creation, capital discipline and simplification of its structure”.
Iberdrola has recently closed several long-term alliances to accelerate its growth and promote the decarbonisation of the economy while maintaining its financial strength.
