The new unit will be led by Carlos Martin, a renowned expert in floating offshore wind projects with over two decades of experience. His extensive background includes serving as the project director for the first floating wind project to secure a bank finance structure, the 25MW WindFloat Atlantic project at EDP Renewables (EDPR). Martin’s strategic vision and ability to manage large-scale projects across multiple countries will be instrumental in advancing Dajin’s floating wind activities.
In addition to Martin, the team will include Walid Oulmane, who has previously served as the head of sourcing and ports at BlueFloat Energy. Oulmane will contribute his expertise in logistics and supply chain management. Francisco Villazón, a seasoned engineer with experience in floating wind projects, will take on the role of engineering leader. His background includes work on significant projects such as the Hywind Scotland, WindFloat Atlantic, and Kincardine projects. Corentin Thepaut, a former technical manager at BlueFloat Energy, will join as the tender manager for floating wind projects.
Dajin aims to leverage this new team to accelerate the development and commercialization of floating foundations, helping developers and EPC contractors reduce costs and achieve larger-scale projects.
