Wedoany.com Report-Jan 14, Next Geosolutions (NextGeo) has announced a major contract award worth €27 million from TenneT. This significant contract involves marine UXO surveys in the Doordewind and Nederwiek offshore wind areas in the Dutch part of the North Sea.

These surveys aim to detect and locate magnetic anomalies potentially linked to unexploded ordnance (UXO), ensuring the safe installation of new offshore infrastructure. NextGeo previously demonstrated its expertise in similar activities in the Nederwiek area during 2024.

The operations in the Nederwiek area are set to commence in Q1 2025 and continue throughout the year. Meanwhile, activities in the Doordewind area are scheduled between Q1 and Q4 2026. Upon completion, this project will mark NextGeo’s involvement in nearly all Dutch offshore wind zones designated for Europe’s advanced offshore electrical grid development.

This milestone further solidifies the longstanding partnership between NextGeo and TenneT, reaffirming the company’s pivotal role in the international offshore sector. With its expertise, proven capabilities, and commitment to high safety standards, NextGeo continues to make strides in supporting renewable energy infrastructure development.
