Erova Energy Inks Irish CPPA With Careyglass

Wedoany.com Report-Feb 8, Erova Energy has signed a corporate Power Purchase Agreement with Irish company CareyGlass to supply renewable electricity from the Curraghgraigue Wind Farm.

Under the terms of the deal, Erova Energy will provide CareyGlass with renewable electricity sourced from the project, situated outside Nenagh.

Managing director of Curraghgraigue Wind Farm Baden Powell said: “By supplying clean, renewable wind energy to large energy user CareyGlass, we are not only contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions but also aiding businesses in the pursuit of more efficient and responsible energy use.

“This is a 30-year commitment to generating green electricity. It is immensely rewarding to see it being utilised so close to its source, demonstrating the tangible benefits of our dedication and innovation.”

Head of Erova Supply Danny Mills also welcomed the agreement.

He said: “This partnership demonstrates how large corporate businesses can take direct action to decarbonise their operations while securing price stability.

“We are delighted to support CareyGlass as part of their sustainability journey and contribute to Ireland’s renewable energy future.”

CareyGlass were supported during the PPA process by Exemplar Energy from Cork.

CareyGlass financial controller Sinead Gleeson said: “By entering our second CPPA for renewable energy, we are ensuring that we are playing our part to reduce emissions with another source of renewable electricity, helping achieve our sustainability goals.”
