Wedoany.com Report-Nov 18, The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECl) has now issued a tender seeking solarmodules upto 400 Mwp. These modules have been envisaged to be used in theproposed solar project at Ramagiri in Andhra Pradesh.
The SECl tender said that these solar modules must be Domestic ContentRequirement (DCR) compliant. The participating module makers can bid in multiplesof 100 MWp.
"The tender mandates use of both Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) Cells and Modulesmanufactured domestically as per specifications and testing requirements fixed byMNRE. For the supplies to be done under this tender, both the Solar Cells andModules must be made in india and Modules shall be from the Manufacturers listedin ALMM list, published & updated by MNRE from time to time," the tender said.
The tender said that all the supplied solar modules must be of the same technology(crystalline) and of the same dimension. The last date to submit the tenders for theproject is December 5.
“In the case of Crystalline Silicon Technology, all process steps and quality controlmeasures involved in the manufacture of the Solar Cells and Modules starting fromwafers until final assembly of the Solar Cells into modules shall be performed at theworks of PV Manufacturers in India," the tender said.
The SECl tender also said that it can also opt for 100 percent of the repeat order butat the same price. The Owner reserves the right to place a repeat order up to anadditional quantity of 100% (Hundred percentage) of the respective awarded PvModule package capacity on the same price, terms, and conditions of the originalcontract, by providing suitable extension in delivery period for the additional repeatorder quantity. The provision of such additional requirement of supply upto 100% onrepeat order basis will be done on mutual agreement basis & the award of suchrepeated order will be done maximum within 06 months of the original awardedcapacity," the tender read.
