GATX Rail Europe Partners With PJM to Expand Telematics Sensor Offerings

Wedoany.com Report-Nov 22, GATX Rail Europe has entered into a partnership with PJ Monitoring (PJM) to broaden its telematics sensor portfolio and enhance capabilities in rail operations.

GATX Rail Europe plans to introduce a new range of sensors to complement its existing telematics solutions. These additions aim to optimize efficiency and safety, offering an advanced level of automation in rail logistics.

The company will offer Overload Protection sensors from PJM on its new Eanos and Eamnos railcars. This technology has been proven effective on various wagon types over the years and is intended to improve safety and efficiency in rail freight transport.

GATX Rail Europe is actively offering railcars equipped with automatic brake test systems. This innovation has the potential to streamline operations by reducing time spent on brake tests, representing a development that could influence the wider railway market.

Updates are expected as the company moves closer to implementing enhanced Overload Protection on new E-railcars arriving next year. Progress on the automatic brake tests will also be shared in due course.
