Eve Energy, Wuhan University, University Of Debrecen Sign Mou For Research On Sustainable Development Impact

EVE Energy and Wuhan University have an established partnership in new materials and cutting-edge technologies, and EVE has engaged in comprehensive discussions with the University of Debrecen since the early stages of its Hungarian factory project.

Under the new agreement, EVE Energy will offer practical support for students and researchers from both universities, assisting with their R&D projects. By the third quarter of 2027, the three parties plan to establish research bases in both Debrecen and Jingmen, Hubei Province, China, to further strengthen industry-academia cooperation and train high-quality specialists. The trio will also jointly apply for research projects and host regular technical exchange forums to accelerate the industry application of scientific achievements.

EVE Energy, a main battery supplier to BMW, specializes in consumer, power, and energy storage battery technologies and solutions. The company is currently constructing an advanced battery plant in the Northwest Industrial Zone of Debrecen, covering approximately 450,000 square meters and planned for cylindrical battery production. Set to be operational by 2027, the project is expected to create around 1,000 local jobs.
