Wedoany.com Report-Dec 04, The Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi'an has dispatched its 300th container train along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) this year.
Organized in cooperation with ADY Express from Azerbaijan and Xi'an Free Trade Port in China, the train is headed to Azerbaijan via Kazakhstan.
This milestone reflects the increasing interest of shippers in the TITR as a key transport corridor between China and Europe. Last year, only 11 container trains were transported along this route, making the current figure a significant rise that surpasses all previous years.
The Xi'an terminal has become an important logistics hub, consolidating cargo from various provinces across China. This consolidation has optimized logistics processes and improved transportation efficiency. The achievement is attributed to the collaborative efforts of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC with railway and port administrations in China, Azerbaijan, and other TITR participants.
To date, the volume of transportation from China along the TITR has exceeded 27,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), which is 25 times more than during the same period last year.
