PowerChina Achieves Power Generation Target 51 Days Ahead Of Schedule

Wedoany.com Report-Nov 14,   As of Nov 10, the 1230 Megawatts Combined Cycle Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant in Pakistan, built by POWERCHINA, has generated a cumulative total of 6.90 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity for the year, achieving its 2024 power generation target 51 days ahead of schedule.

This year, POWERCHINA actively organized technical initiatives during planned downtime, including cleaning and replacing the air filters in the gas turbines and flushing the water-side condenser. These efforts effectively enhanced the output of the steam turbines and other equipment, ensuring the units operated at optimal capacity.

Throughout the operation and maintenance period, POWERCHINA continued to optimize equipment operation, identify and resolve multiple issues affecting the gas turbines and other equipment, and strongly support the safe and efficient operation of the project's units. This ultimately led to achieving this year's generation target 51 days early.

The project is a major gas-fired power project utilizing General Electric's "2-on-1" 9HA combined cycle gas turbines. Since beginning operations in 2018, it has completed its annual power generation targets ahead of schedule for seven consecutive years, with cumulative generation exceeding 50.01 billion kWh.
