All Companies Approved for Colombia’s First Offshore Wind Round

Wedoany.com Report-Dec 14,All companies that applied to participate in Colombia's first offshore wind energy round have been approved, according to the National Hydrocarbons Agency. These companies met the legal, financial, and technical requirements for temporary occupation permits in the central Caribbean maritime areas of Colombia.

Companies from Belgium, the United Kingdom, Spain, and China are participating. Additionally, Colombian companies are also involved, highlighting their commitment to renewable energy development. Colombia aims to develop 3 GW of offshore wind energy by 2035.
