Wedoany.com Report-Mar 28, China debuted its first 30 Megapascal (MPa) hydrogen tube trailer on Thursday, a key upgrade in hydrogen transport pressure from 20 MPa, boosting transport efficiency for the growing hydrogen sector.
China debuts its first 30 Megapascal (MPa) hydrogen tube trailer on Thursday.
The new trailer doubles hydrogen capacity compared to standard 20 MPa models, cutting per-unit transport costs by about 30 percent, and accelerating the technology and commercial use of hydrogen energy, said its operator China Petroleum and Chemical Corp.
Efficient hydrogen transport is vital for a robust hydrogen economy, said the company, also known as Sinopec, the largest hydrogen producer in China.
Currently, 20 MPa trailers are common, carrying only around 220 kg of hydrogen per trip, raising costs and limiting efficiency. Sinopec's 30 MPa trailer delivers roughly 450 kg, significantly improving efficiency and lowering expenses.
