Zoomlion Starts Second Phase of German Factory Project

This development enhances the existing WILBERT TowerCranes facility, signaling a significant step in the company’s global outreach.

The €50 million ($55 million) project spans 60,000 square meters and is designed to boost production capacity. It will focus on manufacturing tower cranes, truck cranes, and concrete machinery, with an annual target of over 1,000 units. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to achieve an output value of around $300 million, contributing notably to the local economy and encouraging partnerships within the industry.

Zoomlion’s strategy emphasizes aligning technology, products, and resources with international markets. The company has expanded its global footprint by acquiring firms such as Powermole, CIFA, m-tec, Raxtar, Ladurner, Wilbert, and Rabe. It now operates 400 overseas branches and more than 210 service and spare parts warehouses, with its products reaching over 170 countries and regions. Additionally, Zoomlion maintains 11 production bases across eight nations, including Italy, Germany, India, Mexico, Belarus, Brazil, Turkey, and the United States.

Zhan Chunxin, Zoomlion’s chair and CEO, highlighted the company’s commitment to collaboration: “We aim to foster synergistic development with local industries’ upstream and downstream sectors, supporting regional economic growth.” He also noted plans to accelerate the project’s timeline, adhering to the investment schedule to ensure the facility begins operations as soon as possible.

This expansion reflects Zoomlion’s focus on strengthening its presence in key markets while contributing to economic progress in the regions where it operates. The Waldlaubersheim facility is poised to play a central role in meeting global demand for construction equipment, further solidifying the company’s position in the industry.
