Two-stage Anti-air Rod Pump

Our company has designed and developed a two-stage anti-air rod pump that consists of a long upper plunger and a larger diameter lower plunger connected in series. This design divides the lower pump barrel into two working chambers: the upper and lower chambers, with the lower chamber having a significantly larger annular area than the upper chamber. When the oil-gas mixture enters the upper chamber from the lower chamber, the volume is compressed, resulting in an increase in pressure. As the plunger moves upward again, the upper chamber is compressed once more, increasing the pressure, closing the intermediate valve, and opening the upper oil outlet valve, which facilitates the extraction of crude oil.

The size ratio of the annular areas of the upper and lower working chambers can be designed according to the oil-gas ratio. When the oil-gas ratio is high, the size ratio will also increase.

During the downward movement of the plunger, the upper oil outlet valve of the pump remains closed, allowing the liquid column above the plunger to assist its downward movement, which results in better force conditions for the oil extraction rod.
