  • Irregular ring forgings are ring-shaped forgings with complex cross-sectional shapes, typically consisting of an outer ring, inner ring, and specific cross-sectional shapes, which may include additional features such as bosses or grooves. Through their unique cross-sectional design and high-strength materials, they bear complex loads and stress distributions, ensuring the stability and reliability of equipment.

Irregular ring forgings are ring-shaped forgings with complex cross-sectional shapes, typically consisting of an outer ring, inner ring, and specific cross-sectional shapes. Through their unique cross-sectional design and high-strength materials, they bear complex loads and stress distributions, ensuring the stability and reliability of equipment.

Material selection must comprehensively consider the stress conditions, working environment, and cost. Common materials include carbon steel (such as Q235, 45 steel), alloy steel (such as 42CrMo, 16Mn), stainless steel, and aluminum alloys.

The nominal pressure range is broad, with specific values depending on the application scenario and design requirements. In general mechanical assembly and light-load transmission applications, the pressure typically does not exceed a few megapascals. However, in some heavy machinery and high-pressure equipment fields, irregular ring forgings may need to withstand pressures between 10 - 50MPa or even higher.

The size range is broad and can be customized according to specific requirements. The size precision and machining allowance can be optimized based on materials and processes. Irregular ring forgings with an outer diameter less than 1 meter and relatively small cross-sectional dimensions (e.g., cross-sectional height less than 0.3 meters) are classified as small irregular ring forgings; those with an outer diameter between 1 - 3 meters and cross-sectional dimensions between 0.3 - 0.8 meters are considered medium irregular ring forgings; irregular ring forgings with an outer diameter greater than 3 meters or cross-sectional dimensions larger than 0.8 meters are categorized as large irregular ring forgings.

Sealing face types, such as full-face (FF), raised face (RF), male/female (FM/M), tongue and groove (T/G), or ring-type joint (RTJ/RJ), are selected mainly based on the operating conditions and sealing requirements.
