The FMS-275 enables rigs to handle completion strings and casing up to 7-5/8" diameter with large umbilicals or control lines. This unit is a companion tool to the “BJ” style 250 ton Elevator/Spider and the 350 ton BXS Slip Type Elevator. Patent Pending Benefits: Power down force of 28,000 lbs @ 2,500 psi allows safe handling of flush joint tubulars. Back-up torque of 15,000 ft-lbs @ 2,500 psi on 7-5/8" casing eliminates the need of a back-up tong. Uses standard 250 ton “BJ” type Elevator/Spider bottom guides (Figures 1 and 2) Figure 1 Figure 2 Operation: Design allows for smooth control of slip setting, minimizing risk of pinching umbilical or control lines can be easily adjusted to compensate for component wear. Adapter ring locks into 37-1/2" rotary table, which in turn locks into the FMS 275 (Figure 3).
