The processes are integrated into a single machining cycle. Further processes, such as gear hobbing, can also be included, for instance for the machining of drive pinion gears.Development of the shaft turning center VTC followed the same governing principle that led to the success of the chuckers. As with all other turning and production centers from EMAG, the basis is a sturdy machine base in MINERALIT® polymer granite, the vibration dampening properties of which offer a better surface finish and a longer tool life than conventional materials. The VTC design offers these advantages:4-axis machining reduces the cycle times Shorter idle times.
