① Cost Savings on Initial Investment: Compared to centrifugal pumps and pumping units, the progressive cavity pump has a simpler structure and lower initial investment. The motor power and speed have multiple options, making it suitable for oil wells with different discharge capacities and heads.
② Two-stage Reduction Device: The first stage is belt drive, and the second stage is spiral bevel gear drive. The gearbox adopts a reinforced structure, enhancing reliability. The overall installation height is reduced, increasing stability and facilitating installation and maintenance.
③ Polished Rod Sealing Types: Available in two types: packing seal and mechanical seal.
④ Mechanical or Hydraulic Anti-reverse Device: Equipped with either a mechanical or hydraulic anti-reverse device, it can effectively release torque and prevent the sucker rod from reversing and unscrewing.
The belt-side-drive ground drive controls the motor rotation through a frequency conversion control system, adjusting the speed to improve system efficiency. At the same time, the oil production equipment has a simple structure, flexible and accurate control, and is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. It is better suited for oil well exploitation.
Currently, the oil well exploitation mainly applies to Xinjiang Oilfield, Jidong Oilfield, Henan Oilfield, and Jilin Oilfield. The belt-side-drive ground drive is used in about 10 wells annually.
