Dongfang Boiler is one of the earliest units in China engaged in the development of solar thermal power generation technology, holding nearly 50 technology patents. It is a key contributor to the formulation of national standards for the design of tower solar thermal power plants. The company possesses integration technology and core equipment design and manufacturing capabilities for tower, parabolic trough, and Fresnel solar thermal power plants. It has participated in major national solar thermal demonstration projects, such as the China Electric Power Engineering Hami 50MW tower molten salt solar thermal power project, the Xineng Yumen 50MW secondary reflection solar thermal power project, and the Dacong Dunhuang 50MW molten salt Fresnel solar thermal power project. For the Hami project, Dongfang Boiler was responsible for the design and supply of the heliostat field, receiver, and evaporator.
