The workpiece complexity is decisive for the configuration of the machine, for which up to 9 linear axis are available. The concept of the TRAUB TNL12K is based on the innovative arrangement of all four tool carriers in two working levels that cross each other. The tool carriers 1 and 2 with each 6 stations for fixed or individually driven tools are designed as turrets with high-precision and very fast indexing. The chip-to-chip time is 0.3 seconds. The front working and backworking attachments have each up to four stations for fixed or individually driven tools. A high level of complete machining is achieved by using a counter spindle with identical design in combination with the main spindle.
