We distinguish between three basic types: standard honing stones for fitting on stone carriers, honing stones with expanding profile ready for installation and special honing stones for specific honing applications Expansion profile Honing stones These types of stones are ready for installation, with steel bodies that are already ground with a tapered expansion angle. This type of hone is mainly used with tools having diameters less than 15 mm. On request, all expansion profile honing stones can be delivered finish-ground to the required diameter to ensure a precision fit in the tool body.
