Louis Schuler started his company as a locksmith shop - and it has grown over the course of 170 years to be recognized as a global player in the metalforming industry. Even from the very beginning, the importance of innovation and staying close to customers was stressed by Mr. Schuler. When he began manufacturing sheet metal processing machine tools in 1852, it represented the starting gun for the rapid and successful development of the company in the field of metal forming technology. From this pioneering craftsman’s workshop, the company has grown to 18 locations on three continents. The spectrum of capabilities today includes the entire processing chain of forming technology – from initial concept to volume production. In addition to its custom-designed products in the fields of sheet metal forming, forming from solid, and coin minting, Schuler also offers its customers innovative manufacturing solutions for processing of high-strength steels, warm-forming, hydroforming, and laser technologies. Schuler is also firmly established as a supplier of comprehensive services for all aspects of equipment technology. It offers extensive service support, service and consulting for machine/production line optimization and customized training for the transfer of knowledge to the end customer. Worldwide, Schuler employs more than 400 service technicians. Our Key Account Management System ensures that a single contact person is always available for the entire spectrum of products and services, no matter which Schuler plant supplies the equipment.
