Over the years DEC has become one of the worlds largest manufacturers of flexible ducting systems and is recognized globally for its superior quality, its machine engineering and services. The DEC name has a long established tradition under the DEC Group®. Business activities go back to the twentieth century when, in late seventies, Ir. Herman Oonk was engaged to develop flexible ducts and their related machinery. Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative marketing have been the main contributors to the steady growth of DEC, both nationally and internationally. Combined with substantial investment and a continual program of research and development, our company remains competitive and at the front of new technology. The company was founded upon the pioneering idea of a circular flexible duct, which simplified the installation of ventilation and saved substantial mounting and transportation costs. DEC is an important supplier to nations around the world with approximately 80% of our production being exported. The founder of DEC, Mr. Ir. H. Oonk, brought to the world the innovative development of building flexible ducts in a unique sandwich construction. This invention has inspired many companies throughout the world to try and imitate the technique.
