The first to introduce internationally advanced megawatt-level wind turbine technology, developing a 5MW series wind turbine that adapts to various global wind resource and environmental conditions, and establishing a complete domestic industrial chain for megawatt-level wind turbines, realizing large-scale production and application.
The first to complete the development and mass production of the 3MW series onshore and offshore wind turbines with independent intellectual property rights, using internationally mainstream, technologically advanced designs. The company provided all 34 units of 3MW wind turbines for the first offshore wind farm outside Europe and China’s first national offshore wind power demonstration project, the Shanghai Donghai Bridge Wind Farm. The project was installed in 2009, fully connected to the grid in 2010, and successfully passed the warranty in 2015, providing green electricity for the Shanghai World Expo.
In 2011, the first SL5000 offshore wind turbine was grid-connected in the East China Sea.
The first to independently build the country’s highest-level offshore wind power technology equipment R&D center, equipped with the most advanced equipment and the strongest R&D and testing capabilities. This center is capable of developing and testing 20MW wind turbines, including both the complete machine and its components.
